Hello Everyone, I wanted to take the opportunity with this first post to help you understand where this comes from and what its all about.
This was built by a true trades person (and a development team) not someone that went around and surveyed trades people or hired someone to get information on what they should put on the site. I am not a huge corporation that only cares about making money any way i can. I truly care about the trades and the people that work in them as well as the people that use our services everyday. I am out there everyday in the field not only working in peoples homes and business’s where i have customers that i consider friends that i don’t get to see or speak to on a regular basis unless something goes wrong, and almost always while i am there my customers will ask me if i know someone that can help them with another task. (word of mouth from someone you trust) still the best advertising you truly can’t buy. When we are done talking shop we take a few minutes to catch up. So That’s why i created this so that even when i and others are running around from job to job,emergency to emergency, or rush hour to rush hour that we can still get messages from Customers/ Friends and check in as we get time. i am really hoping to give each trade a place that we can vent a little and speak to someone else that knows the struggles that we face everyday, and maybe has found a solution to a problem that we haven’t thought of. Or for a young trades person to get some help they may need to stay in the trades because we need them so badly. Or maybe get the younger people to help some of the older people with the new technology that is coming out everyday.
(Sure we may be able to do this on another platform but we can’t do everything there that we can here and we can’t make the whole thing ours and keep making it more and more ours until finally its everything we want it to be and nothing we don’t want it to be.)
First and foremost i want you all to know this is a social media platform that has been built from the ground up with the average user and the Trades people in mind. It’s like other social media platforms in the sense that you can chat, post photos, friend people,watch video’s etc. but in other areas it will be something that you can’t come close to anywhere else. This will have things on it for business that you won’t find other places and the more successful we are the more you will find. I want this to be a place where people can come that need help with a project or have an interest in getting into a new field can speak to actual people in the fields that they are interested in or maybe you have a child that you would like to open a door for and get them in contact with a school or on the job training. As well as just come hang out with friends and build your profile to the point you want it.
Please set your profile up with as much detail as possible so that your friends and business associates know everything that you do, and can find you easily through the search because this will be important when it comes to a lot of our features.
The site will be building it’s resources constantly so even if you don’t see exactly
what you are looking for please set up a profile and setup a specific notification tone for us so that when you do get notified you will know quickly because some of our features will be time sensitive. As we get started we will be building the service area’s of the world so as you sign up let everyone you know and trust in the trades who we are and that they should set up a profile so that as we grow people can find them for work and friendship.
If you don’t see your Trade on the list let us know or if you have a business that you would like to have added to our community let us know. Like i said the site was created for everyone with the trades highlighted but we do know that in the trades we use a lot of vendors, training facilities, accountants, and many others. Although, we are keeping this for small business’s we will work with most, as long as it benefits our members, we will ban any huge corporation that is in direct conflict with our members lively hoods. If They are unknowingly permitted entry and we eventually find out who they are we will ban them as soon as possible. This will not apply to anything that benefits us in the form of advertisement of products that we use everyday but advertisements will be limited if it becomes necessary.
